Today, the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health caters to kids and youth struggling with physical and mental health challenges. Thanks to 160 staff and more than 100 volunteers, Queen Alexandra’s programs support the early intervention and therapeutic needs of more than 4,000 Island kids and their families every year.

Buildings and services

Queen Alexandra Building

The Centre’s main building, the Queen Alexandra, houses rehabilitation services, from cleft lip and pediatric feeding and swallowing clinics to spinal and neuromuscular clinics.

Pearkes Building

Treating children from birth to five years old with or at risk for developmental delays, the Pearkes Building offers a mix of services for your child’s needs.

Ledger House

The first dedicated mental health centre for children and youth, Ledger House offers short-term crisis intervention, multidisciplinary assessment and treatment, and outpatient programs.

Fisher Building

Offering orthotics, prosthetics and seating, the Fisher Building serves children, youth and adults across Vancouver Island with acute, emergency and rehabilitative care.
