Major Gifts and Legacy Giving Officer

The Major Gifts and Legacy Giving Officer is a keystone role at CHFVI and is a pillar of the Fund Development team,
providing an intentional and strategic approach to fund development. This role is responsible for managing a robust
pipeline capable of making legacy gift commitments or investments of $25,000 or more to advance CHFVI’s wide range
of program, capital, and operational priorities.

With a deep-set foundation of nurturing and fostering relationships, the Major Gifts and Legacy Giving Officer will focus on engaging prospects and donors through various activities and initiatives to achieve annual revenue objectives.

Associate Director of Programs

Our team is growing, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Associate Director of Programs to join our passionate and dedicated team. Reporting to the Director of Family Programs & Impact, the Associate Director will lead Foundation programs such as Bear Essentials and the Home Away From Home network and work collaboratively to ensure a strategic approach to program development and delivery.

The Associate Director’s responsibilities are primarily twofold: first, to ensure programs are aligned with program and organizational Theories of Change and to optimize productivity and nurture program success.

A key element of the role is to foster integration and strategic thinking across program areas to support the work and sustainability of family programs.

Assistant Manager – Q̓ʷalayu House

The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that Q̓ʷalayu House is an inclusive and welcoming home for families who have children receiving health care in Campbell River. This position assists with ensuring the safe and efficient operations of Q̓ʷalayu House and the day to day operations. The Assistant Manager serves as the public face of Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island (CHFVI) at Q̓ʷalayu House and is expected to model the values and vision of the Children’s Health Foundation.

We’re looking for someone with a high level of organizational ability, exceptional communication skills, and is dedicated to providing exceptional service. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a team player with a passion for building relationships and helping others.

Marketing and Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager is our keystone role focused on sharing our story, increasing our brand awareness, and showcasing how we’re transforming the lives of children, youth, and families on Vancouver Island. With one hand steering the execution of our day-to-day marketing lifecycle, and one eye on the horizon strategizing our next marketing opportunity, this position will be instrumental in supporting CHFVI’s long-term growth.

To be effective in their role, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be nimble and flexible when it comes to shifting priorities or changing business needs, and they will maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude when considering innovative ideas and in the face of challenges. Working collaboratively with our Fund Development, Family Programs and Impact, and Finance & Operations teams while also overseeing a team of two marketing team members, this role will seamlessly blend marketing and business strategy into a clear, growth-focused roadmap aimed at expanding our donor base and owning the market share.

• Housekeeping, cleaning guest rooms upon check-out and all common areas.
• Supporting families with room bookings, guest orientation, and guest services.
• Following processes, policies, and guidelines.
• Record keeping, task tracking, and database entry.
